Code of Conduct
In organizing this event, creating a safe, inclusive, and fair environment is a priority.
Any allegation or concern regarding inappropriate behaviour will be treated with the utmost seriousness.
In case of infractions, do not hesitate to contact the organizers, who will treat the matter anonymously unless otherwise specified.
All attendees, speakers, organizers, and any other participants of TiQT must comply with the following code of conduct:
- Be kind, considerate, and respectful towards all other individuals.
- Be respectful of private and communal property.
- Report any inappropriate behaviour to the organizing committee.
Inappropriate Behaviour
The following behaviour will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, bullying and/or intimidation, false accusations, threats, and assault, as well as sexual harassment in public or in private.
- Plagiarism and fabrication of data and results.
- Promotion of hate or discriminatory speech, or infringement on the rights of others.
- Discrimination of any kind, such as based on religion, disability, age, national origin, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Discrimination includes the use of derogatory comments/slurs.
- Impersonation of other individuals or entities, as well as false claims of ownership of scientific titles, professional positions, or affiliations.
Harassment may include, but does not limit to:
- Inappropriate comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion.
- The display of sexual images.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
- Harassing photography or recording.
- Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
- Inappropriate physical contact.
- Unwelcome sexual attention.
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour.
